Woah! And the Apple iPhone continues to take over the world of smart mobiles. It's the App Store that's done it, with (at last count) more than 35,000 applications available.
Regardless of the Apps, the iPhone has been a top fave here, mainly becuase it was the first such animal that didn't have you rowing up and down endless menus to access simple functions. In fact the first phone 'for the rest of us', or at least this writer!
But the App Store is the real game-changer, as it reveals the iPhone for what it is – a small computer, which also happens to be a decent phone. Whether it will take over the smartphone world in the same way that the iPod has done for mobile music (of course it's an iPod as well...) is moot. We'll have to wait and see, but in a mobile world, it has a good chance.
TZ will keep you up to date as events unfold. You can visit Apple and the App Store here.
ps. This is the first working TechnixZone post, and there are some glitches to sort out, including pictures, so please patient!
