A Simple Way To Get The Tick Mark Done In MS Word

I find many struggling to get the Tick Mark symbol correctly on the Word document that they are working, as a result of which they prefer to use the Square Root 
instead. Unfortunately this do not look good, especially when you are drafting professional documents.
Inserting the tick mark symbol is no great deal, and here I have laid out a very simple strategy. Follow these simple step-by-step instructions:
1. Choose 'INSERT' from the toolbar menu.
2. Choose "Symbols" from the Insert Menu options for MS Word 2003 and earlier versions or "Symbols ---> Symbol" from the Insert Ribbon for MS Word 2007 onwards.
3. Goto More Symbols to open the Symbol Dialog Box, and choose the Symbol Tab.
4. In the Font tab, change the font to Wingdings, and you will find the TICK Mark symbol ready to use.
5, Other related symbols like the tick mark - tick mark in a box and incorrect mark in the box, and incorrect mark are all available.
6. The character codes for the symbols mentioned in point no. 5 are 252, 254, 253 and 251. Nevertheless, the character code is obtained from Symbol in decimal mode.

Now is that you know how to get the tick mark, tick mark in the box, incorrect mark and incorrect mark in the box on your box, you will find your presentations getting better than the conventional habit of using the square root symbol for the tick and multiplication symbol for the incorrect mark.
